Dr. Eric Huang

Dr. Eric Huang graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2014 with a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Before obtaining his DDS degree, he received his Bachelor’s in Science degree from University of California, Irvine. Dr. Eric developed a passion in dentistry because he always wanted to become a provider in the health care field, and of the detailed oriented and artistic nature of dentistry really spoke to him. Dr. Eric has been a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association since graduation.

Besides a passion for dentistry, Dr. Eric is also very passionate about animals and nature. Whenever he has the chance, he would take his two dogs out to explore nature. Besides taking care of his dogs, his other hobby includes working on cars. From compounding and polishing a car’s paint to a scratch free finish or learning and doing the majority of the car’s repair and maintenance work himself.

Registered Dental Hygienist

We’re excited to introduce you to our amazing dental hygienist, Chris. With 22 years of experience in the dental field, starting as a dental assistant and then pursing dental hygiene and graduating in 2009 from Cerritos College, Chris is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles.

But Chris isn’t just a skilled hygienist, when he’s not working he’s also an avid hiker, an animal lover, and likes to dabble in wood working and trap shooting. When he’s not working hard to ensure our patient’s oral health, he might be at New York City, one of his favorite destinations to travel to.

At our practice, we believe that building a relationship with our patients is key to providing top-notch dental care. That’s why Chris takes the time to get to know each patient, learn about their unique dental needs and concerns, and tailor his care accordingly. We’re proud to have Chris on our team, his gentle touch, friendly personality, and commitment to patient education make him a favorite among patients of all ages.

Steph

Steph is our registered dental assistant. She is very personable and will make sure you’ll have a comfortable experience while you are at Ignite Dental Yorba Linda. In addition to assisting Dr. Eric, she makes sure that the rooms are completely wiped down and instruments are sterilized for each patient. On her free time, Steph likes to go to various golf courses for golfing.

Patty

Patty is the Ignite Dental Yorba Linda’s front desk coordinator, biller and office manager. Yes, she does wear many hats currently. Patty has been in the dental industry for 20+ years. She started as a dental assistant in the past and over the years have gained a plethora of knowledge. Patty is our main front office staff, but she would also help out in the back when needed. Patty likes to bake and tackle new recipes on her free time.

Practice Philosophy

Ignite Dental Yorba Linda’s name came about because of Dr. Eric Huang’s passion for dentistry and clinical excellence. During his time as a student in Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, he was the only student in his class to obtain an award from the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, a restorative technique that is quite rare today. Subsequently he has taken numerous continuing education courses throughout the years after graduation to learn new skills and techniques to help provide the best care possible for his patients. However, the practice isn’t just about dental procedures – we also believe in creating a welcoming and friendly environment that makes our patients feel like family. Whether you’re here for a routine checkup or a more extensive dental procedure, we strive to make your experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible along with the care and compassion that everyone deserves. We want our patients to feel cared for as an individual and not just a mouth with a set of teeth. We understand that having your teeth worked on isn’t always the most pleasant experience, that is why when you are here for your appointment, we try to give you our whole undivided attention so we can focus and provide the best care possible.

Aside from just a passion for dentistry, and our commitment to our patients, we are also focused on sustainability.
In dentistry, there is unfortunately a lot of plastic waste, ranging from plastic barriers changed out after each patient to our plastic toothbrushes we use at home. At Ignite Dental, we are proud to incorporate Terracycle Zero Waste Box for plastic, and oral care waste. Being able to utilize Terracycle Zero Waste Box, we are able to recycle most of our plastics used for patients, and for patients and non patients alike they can bring in their old toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and floss containers to be recycled rather having it end up in the landfills.

The goodie bags we give our patients after a check up and cleaning appointment are reusable bags, and we also carry bamboo tooth brushes if patients prefer to use bamboo toothbrushes as opposed to regular plastic ones. We are also doing our part by protecting our water supply by utilizing an amalgam separator for our evac system. The amalgam separator will help filter out any amalgam dust and partials we remove in our patient’s mouth and prevent them being passed onto the water supply/sewer system. Additionally we have also implimented a digital work flow ranging from electronic forms to digital x-rays. We understand that we cannot be 100% sustainable, but at Ignite Dental we will strive to do our best to utilize as many environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions as possible while maintaining an excellence in dentistry
